Instrument Tuition

Prior knowledge and experience is not necessary. If you are passionate and ready to try your best, feel comfortable to apply no matter what your level.

All students from ages 5 and up are welcome.

In your initial lesson, your teacher will determine and recommend the appropriate sized instrument for you. You will also be given a list of items to buy before your upcoming lesson.

Most definitely. Our music school organises bi-yearly student concerts and performance opportunities for well-prepared students of all levels, including beginners.

We have been successfully preparing students for the above exams, auditions and competitions for over a decade. It is important to note that participation in the above is entirely optional.

All classes are held on premises.

Lessons are 30, 45, 60 or 75 minutes long. The duration of each lesson is determined by the teacher and student.

You are automatically booked for the same day and time each week for the entirety of the school term. That is your personal lesson time and it isn’t subject to change until the following term. We have a small window during school holidays to make changes if possible.

Yes, casual lessons are available. Please enquire separately for these prices.

Group learning sessions are in no way substitutes for individual lessons.

Online lessons are always available and very useful when either teacher or student cannot attend their lesson in person for any reason.

Musicianship and Theory

Yes.

Yes! One-on-one classes are of course more effective and fast progressing, but group theory lessons are also effective and usually more enjoyable for students. Keep in mind that the school will organise students into groups, and these groups will probably change in the subsequent terms.

Yes.

We have been successfully preparing students for the theory exams for over a decade. It is important to note that participation in the state theory exams are entirely optional.

Yes, however single, fortnightly and casual lessons are not available for the set prices. Enquire separately for these prices.

Lessons are available during holidays or on public holidays, please enquire if you’re interested.

Ensembles and Orchestra

Ensembles are open to students playing at an intermediate or advanced level, your teacher will assess your level regularly and let you know when you're ready to join an ensemble.

All rehearsals are held on premises.

The majority of our ensemble music is either acquired by the school or specially arranged by the ensembles teacher to suit the unique skills of our students. The expense and effort involved in arranging the music is provided as a complimentary service to our students.

Yes! When the students are ready we will organise performing opportunities!

It is the responsibility of the student to bring their instrument, all relevant music, pencil and eraser to the rehearsal each week. Music stands will be provided.

Setting aside regular time to practice ensemble pieces is crucial, as successful ensemble rehearsals depend on a high level of teamwork, achievable only when each member diligently works on improving their individual parts.

Yes, we offer this option!

Yes, casual lessons are available for all ensembles. Please send details here for more information on availabilities and fees.

Group Introductory Class

All sessions are held on premises.

You’ll be sent an invoice, and payment of the invoice will secure your spot in the session. No refunds or postponements.

Anyone and everyone! Enrolled students, potentially interested students, or maybe just looking for a one-off fun intro class with friends, everyone is welcome!

Arrive 5 minutes early so you don’t miss the beginning of the class, and we’ll take it from there!

Piano Accompaniment

All rehearsals are held on premises.

Depending on student’s level and amount of repertoire, your teacher will suggest a rehearsal length of either 45, 60 or 75 minutes. During this time, you will warm up, play through your pieces, and work on specific areas that need the most amount of attention.

After you have booked and paid for your time slot, there are no refunds or postponement options. You will need to cancel and wait for the next accompaniment session.

All piano accompaniment rehearsals are considered and billed as one-off lessons.

All rehearsals and classes are billed through the school, we will send you an invoice and your payment will serve as your booking confirmation.

Open Masterclass

All sessions are held on premises.

Yes! We highly encourage your presence, please call or email us to observe these sessions.

You’ll be sent an invoice, and payment of the invoice will secure your spot in the session. No refunds or postponements.

Yes!

Only students of the school can play in the sessions as spots are limited, however you are welcome to book and observe the sessions!

Questions about invoices, fees, lesson specifics, cancellations, tardiness, purchasing instruments and music, concert information, or any other inquiries will be addressed in your initial lesson. Prior to enrollment, you will receive an email with a copy of the terms and conditions for you to review and retain for future use.
